there is an interesting article in the Nation about how cities and their politics is where this kind of idiocy about the environment is not happening. a band of several dozen city mayors adopted the Kyoto protocal and are doing something about it rather than still debating what the rest of already know, which is a rather uplifting thing to discover is happening.
