I will always miss Layne Staley. His work drilled to the center of my psyche more deeply and searchingly than did Kurt's. Just the way it happened. Both are great. Layne is my boy tho. Let's go:

Layne was a tortured poet. Of course, I never her his voice without thinking of you! I'm partial to Kurt, who was such a vulnerable, broken mess in a way that Layne didn't let show in his stage presence in quite the same way...but I do love me some Alice in Chains.

At least try listening to a junkie with chops like "Bird" or "Trane" or "Billie" or "Miles", at least make their suffering FOR their music worth OUR while!
